๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ง๐๐ฆ๐ข๐๐ฌ: ๐๐ญโ๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐! (by Lisa and Rohan): Trapped between 6-count and 8-count patterns? In this class, we will explore how to make our dancing more dynamic by playing with varying levels of energy, tension and movement to create new figures and patterns. This class is suitable for people who are comfortable with all the basic 6- and 8-count figures, and want to learn how to switch gears and make their dance more varied and lively.

๐๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐ก๐ง๐ข๐ช๐ฎ๐ (by Jojanneke and Roberto): The swing out is the move of moves, and you can never make it perfect. However, in this class weโll try to get close to perfection! Weโll work on technique and will also discover new swing out variations like the Savoy swing out.

๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ (by Malou and Federico): You find yourself on one of SiUโs fast dancing HopSpots (like the one coming up next Wednesday), and you want to feel comfortable dancing Lindy on fast music. In this class weโll teach you how, but beware: this will be a workout. No need to do cardio in the gym anymore. Donโt forget to bring some extra t-shirts.

๐๐ฐ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ง (by Stella and Federico): At SiU we teach many dance styles, among which 30-ies Charleston. But did you know there are different versions of the Charleston? The most famous is actually Twenties Charleston. Take this opportunity to learn how to dance the 20-ies Charleston! In 4 weeks weโll teach several moves and make sure you get your technique right.

In these classes we will go on a journey where you will experience different methods to make a deep internal connection to your body. We will study movement principles that will help you breathe, ground and free the natural torsion of your spine into whole-body movement. This will improve every dance for the rest of your life. We will be slowing down and softening; moving behind the beat the way Ella sings.

This class will help you to integrate charleston steps in your lindy hop dancing, reinforce your basic technique and expand on your movements and rhythms. The primary focus will be on making you comfortable with using Charleston during social dancing and how to transition from lindy hop into charleston and vice versa. Roberto and Jojanneke will share their favourite tips and tricks with you to make you proud of your charleston!
